International cooperation is a key learning priority for PURPAN and a recognized area of excellence for the school. It is one of our three core missions, along with training and Research-Development-Consultancy actions.
This openness revolves around student and staff mobility, as well as internships or training modules abroad.
All of PURPAN’s international cooperation operations are made possible by a department staffed by eight permanent employees and several research professors who are ambassadors for the school.
International travel in training courses
To prepare students for a professional environment marked by globalization, and to show them the relevant agricultural, economic and cultural realities, PURPAN encourages as much international exposure as possible.
The school uses a range of teaching methods and offers that lead all students to a three-month period spent abroad in an English-speaking country. Nearly 95% of engineering students spend at least two long periods abroad during their studies (around nine months in total).
Foreign language and personal development teachers are an integral part of the foundation of these international stays.
International mobility is an area of learning excellence for PURPAN students. Every year, an average of 350 students complete an internship or spend a university semester abroad.
University partners worldwide
PURPAN’s network of international partners relies on long-standing relationships with certain universities or educational institutions with bilateral cooperation agreements.
International programs
Every year, the School welcomes a hundred students from all over the world as part of its international programs.
The school follows the ECTS system (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). Calculated based on workload, ECTS credits are a complementary tool alongside the diploma, facilitating student mobility between different countries.
Erasmus + and other grants
The school is an Erasmus + charter holder, meaning it undertakes to respect the fundamental principles of European programs and their values, and to make the international dimension an integral part of its strategy.
The program encourages mobility in Europe and around the world for students (periods of study or internships), teaching staff and all staff of higher education establishments.
International students
Students from partner institutions can join PURPAN in Toulouse for an exchange period. They can also join us for Double Degree opportunities.
