To prepare our students for a professional environment marked by globalization, and to show them the relevant agricultural, economic and cultural realities, PURPAN encourages as much international exposure as possible.
The school uses a range of teaching methods and offers that lead all students to a three-month period spent abroad in an English-speaking country. Nearly 95% of engineering students spend at least two long periods abroad during their school career (around nine months in total).
Foreign language and personal development teachers are an integral part of the foundation of these international stays.
International mobility is an area of learning excellence for PURPAN students. Every year, an average of 350 students complete an internship or spend a university semester abroad.

Double degrees abroad
At the end of their study period abroad in their fourth year, students in the Engineering program have the option of continuing their stay with a double degree program: PURPAN engineers, and a Specialized Master’s degree from the partner university.
By spending this semester abroad, students benefit from double tutoring and must fulfill the requirements of the partner’s diplomas.
To this end, nine agreements have been signed with internationally renowned universities in Europe, Latin America and North America.
These courses open the doors to professional careers on the international stage. On average, around ten students take part in these double degrees each year. Note that this extends students’ studies by at least one semester (30 ECTS) as well as their tuition fees (50%).
University partnerships
PURPAN’s network of international partners relies on long-standing relationships with certain universities or educational institutions with bilateral cooperation agreements.
This network benefits from all the partnerships fostered by collaboration within the France Agro³ circle.
PURPAN has active relationships with 176 partners worldwide.
Alumni abroad
Our graduates act as real ambassadors for the school, passing PURPAN’s values on to their companies abroad. Working in all sectors, they are key stakeholders in the economic, social and environmental changes that will shape tomorrow’s world.
